Cardinal Leo Encourages Catholics to Participate in October 26 Municipal Elections

Ahead of municipal elections on Monday, October 26, 2026, Cardinal Frank Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto, has released a short video, encouraging Catholics in the Archdiocese of Toronto to learn more about the candidates, prayerfully form their conscience and cast an informed ballot.

In the video below, Cardinal Leo reflects on our responsibility to contribute to the common good and the important role of Catholic school board trustees in safeguarding the faith and identity of our Catholic schools.

Catholic voters are reminded to ensure that they are registered to vote as a Catholic separate school supporter. To learn more about this process and to ensure you are eligible to cast a vote for Catholic School Board Trustee in the upcoming collection, click here.

We pray for all those seeking election and for those who will lead our municipalities and serve as school board trustees over the next four years.
