Help & Support Eric Hauser & Family

Eric Hauser, a long-time parishioner and the Organist at St. Justin Martyr Parish for several years, has recently been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). As Eric and his family navigate the challenges of his condition, they face significant costs associated with his care and changing needs.

St. Jude Thaddeus Novena for Eric Hauser

Our Parish community, and anyone who would like to pray for Eric's healing, are invited to join us for a 9-day Novena to St. Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of difficult causes. We will begin the novena on Saturday, November 14, 2026, until Sunday, November 22, 2026. Please join us in praying for Eric. Download the Novena here, follow as below. 

O most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honours and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases, and of those facing seemingly insurmountable difficulties.  With great faith and trust in your powerful intercession, we come before you to pray for our dear Eric, who is suffering from ALS.

Make use, we implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.  Come to Eric’s assistance in this great need. We humbly ask you to intercede before Our Lord Jesus Christ for his healing. If it is God’s holy will, may Eric be granted a miraculous and complete recovery from this disease.

Pray that Eric may receive the consolation and help of Heaven in all his necessities, tribulations, and sufferings. May our merciful Lord strengthen him in body and spirit, and fill his heart with courage, peace, and hope.

Dear St. Jude, pray also for Eric’s spiritual well-being. May this difficult time draw him ever closer to Jesus, deepen his faith, and strengthen his trust in God’s love and mercy.

May Eric, with God’s grace, be able to unite his sufferings with the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, offering them for his own spiritual growth and sanctification, for the well-being and holiness of his family, and for the salvation of souls. May his sufferings, united with Christ’s, bear abundant spiritual fruit and become a source of grace and blessing for himself and others.

Pray also for Eric’s family, caregivers, and all who love him. May they be blessed with all the graces they need to overcome any future challenges and a deep trust in God’s providence. We ask that this difficult time draw their family ever closer to Christ and to one another.

We promise you, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of the favours received through your intercession, to honour you as our special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.  May we one day praise God with you and all the saints in heaven forever.
