"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." James 5:14-15
Anointing of the Sick is a Sacrament being provided during illness, especially when someone near the time of death in order to bring spiritual or even physical strength. It is most likely the last Sacrament one might receive before death. As other Sacraments, it is a rite performed to convey God's grace to the recipient by the power of Holy Spirit.
If you would like to have your loved ones receive this Sacrament from one of our priests, contact us at the Parish Office.
